An abstract of title is a written history of all the recorded documents and proceedings related to a specific piece of property. All documents recorded in the County Clerk's and Court Clerk's offices affecting a specific piece of property are arranged in chronological order beginning with the original allotment deed and showing all documents of record, including, but not limited to deeds, mortgages, judgments, bankruptcies, divorces and unpaid taxes.
